Tech Bulletin for Deep South 100 at Deep South Speedway – Loxley, AL
Crate Racin’ USA Officials have released the following info for the Deep South 100 scheduled for November 20th and 21st at Deep South Speedway in Loxley, AL.
Tires: Along with the Crate Racin’ USA Hoosier D21 and D55, officials will be allowing the Hoosier LSB 70 as a Right Rear only option for the Feature event ONLY. This tire will only be available at the Crate Racin’ USA Series Trailer on Friday and Saturday of the event. Competitors will be allowed to groove and sipe the LSB 70. All other tire rules will be as written in the 2020 Rule Book.
Fuel Stop: With increasing concerns of competitors running out of fuel, officials have made a decision concerning a FUEL Only stop during the course of the event. If a caution is displayed after lap 40 of the feature event, officials will use that time to stop the field and allow two(2) crew members to add FUEL ONLY on the track. If no caution has been displayed by lap 50, officials will display the yellow at the completion of lap 50 and allow a FUEL ONLY pit stop.
Drivers will remain in their cars on the track and the fuel stop will be limited to 5 minutes maximum. Once drivers are instructed to refire and join the lineup, any driver not making the call will restart at the tail of the lead lap. NO other work will be permitted during this time and any driver exiting the track to the hot pit area will not be allowed to return.
We hope this allows competitors equal opportunity to compete and removes any outside circumstances from dictating the outcome of the race. We appreciate the support and look forward to seeing everyone there for a successful event!
