Tech Bulletin for CRUSA Street Stocks and CRUSA Modified Sportsman
Eastaboga, AL – Crate Racin’ USA Officials have announced tire rule modifications for the divisions that utilize the Hoosier Racing Tire H500 in competition. Due to nationwide tire shortages, officials will allow CRUSA Modified Sportsman and CRUSA Street Stock competitors to groove and sipe the mandatory Hoosier H500 tire effective immediately (July 14, 2021) and for the remainder of the season (until December 31, 2021).
Officials made this decision to allow competitors to do what they might deem necessary to extend the life of their tires and help with reducing consumption. The remainder of the current tire rule will remain in effect (i.e. no chemical alterations, tire testing, protest, durometer specs, etc.) with the exception of grooving and siping. We appreciate the efforts of everyone during this process and look forward to seeing everyone at the track.
