Garver, Gainey, Stone, and Lloyd win Street Stock Heats at Hendry County on Night One!

(Clewiston, FL – February 22, 2025) – The Swamp Cabbage 100 kicked off with a bang at Hendry County Motorsports Park on Friday night, as fans were treated to intense racing action across multiple divisions. Championship Saturday is now on the horizon, with sixteen drivers already locking in their spots for the 75-lap main event. The remaining spots will be filled through two 15-lap B-Mains, which will take place to open night two of the event.

The action began with the Chevrolet Performance-powered Crate Racin’ USA Street Stocks hitting the track for Hot Laps and Time Trials. The fastest overall lap in qualifying was turned by Jason Garver from Starke, FL, who laid down a blistering 16.358-second lap. Garver, who was the very first car to hit the track, claimed the top spot, setting the tone for a competitive night. Following Garver were Nevin Gainey (Ft. White, FL), Andrew Stone (Savannah, GA), Ivedent Lloyd (Ocala, FL), and Jonathan Crain (Live Oak, FL), who rounded out the top five in time trials.

The drivers were then divided into four heat races, each giving the top four finishers a direct transfer to the $10,000-to-win main event. The heat races provided plenty of action, with several notable drivers battling for positions and spots in the final event.
