Both CRUSA National Tours Head to Needmore This Weekend!
(Eastaboga, AL - March 24, 2025) - The highly anticipated 2nd Annual Southern Heritage Classic at Needmore Speedway in Norman Park, GA is set to kick off the 21st season of competition for the Rogers-Dabbs Performance Parts Crate Racin' USA Dirt Late Model Series this weekend in Norman Park, GA. Drivers and teams from across the country will invade the Chance Smith-promoted facility for a massive weekend of racing.
The Southern Heritage Classic will be the first of twelve scheduled $10,000-to-win or more events on the 2025 Crate Racin' USA campaign. This will mark the twelfth visit by the series to the D-shaped oval and the second consecutive year sanctioning the Southern Heritage Classic. Last season, "Rocketman" Richie Stephens claimed his first-ever series win in the inaugural event, besting Jimmy Thomas and Caleb Gay at the finish line.
Joining the 604 National Tour will be the Rogers-Dabbs Performance Parts Crate Racin' USA Late Model Sportsman Tour. This event will mark race number two of the 2025 season for the 602 Late Models and their second appearance at Needmore Speedway. The Chevrolet Performance 602 Late Models will battle for a $4,000-to-win payday and championship points. With one race already completed, Wyatt Gainey leads the points standings following his win at All-Tech Raceway. Gainey holds the points lead over Brayden Johnson, Caleb Ashby, Brennen Shirley, and Koulten Herbert heading into the Southern Heritage Classic. In last season's event, Jason Garver captured the inaugural Southern Heritage Classic victory, marking his lone series win of the 2024 Late Model Sportsman Tour.
Racing action will also include:
- DIRTcar/UMP Modifieds (Modified Mafia): $7,500 to win, $400 to start + $500 to win Preliminary Features on Friday
- Limited/Spec Late Models: $5,000 to win, $400 to start
- CRUSA Street Stocks: $5,000 to win, $400 to start
- Factory Stocks/Enduro/Pure Stock: $4,000 to win, $400 to start
Race Day Schedule:
- Thursday: Open Practice for all divisions
- Friday: Qualifying and Heats + Modified Preliminary Features
- Saturday: B-Mains and Features for all divisions
