Lloyd Named CRUSA Street Stock Winner at Needmore

(Norman Park, GA – March 29, 2025) – Ivedent Lloyd was officially named the winner of the 2nd Annual Southern Heritage Classic at Needmore Speedway following a post-race inspection. Despite starting from the seventh spot, Lloyd was able to maneuver his way through the field and secure his second consecutive victory in the prestigious event.

The 30-lap feature race began with Jonathan Crain and Mark Whitener leading the field, but the race quickly took a dramatic turn. The first caution came out on lap 1 after a multi-car incident involving Richard Livernois, Jonathan Croson, and John Bratcher in Turn 3. Following a brief clean-up, the green flag waved again, and Rob Tucker quickly assumed the lead. The race saw intense two- and three-wide action throughout the field, with Crain gradually losing positions as Tucker stretched his lead.

Tucker led for the first 10 laps before Bubba Christian's #04 car spun out, bringing out the second yellow flag of the event. As the green flag waved once again, the race experienced a massive incident. Chase Pennington made contact with Ivedent Lloyd, sending Pennington's car spinning in front of the entire field. The ensuing crash collected several other competitors, including Devin McLeod, Jonathan Crain, John Bratcher, and Bubba Christian.

When the race resumed, Mike Stalnaker began to show his strength, advancing through the field. However, another caution came out when Roger McKenzie and Richard Livernois collided in Turn 4. Tucker continued to lead with 13 laps complete, but an intense battle for second place unfolded between Tyler Davis and Ivedent Lloyd, which became a heated exchange under the caution on lap 18.

Despite the ongoing battle for second, Tucker was able to extend his lead to over three seconds at times. The race seemed all but decided until a late caution with only two laps remaining, setting up a green-white-checkered finish. Justin Hart was the driver who brought out the final caution. Tucker held strong during the restart and crossed the finish line first, claiming the checkered flag.

However, the excitement didn’t stop there. Post-race inspection revealed that both Rob Tucker and Tyler Davis had failed technical inspection, promoting Ivedent Lloyd to the top spot. With this change, Lloyd was declared the winner of the 2nd Annual Southern Heritage Classic, making him a two-time winner of the event after his victory last year.
