Unpredictable Weather Patterns and Heavy Rain from Friday Postpones Crate Racin’ USA Visit to Historic Dixie Speedway

(Eastaboga, AL – June 28, 2025) – Persistent rain and more storms on the horizon have forced officials with Dixie Speedway and Crate Racin’ USA to postpone Saturday night’s Independence Day Celebration event at the historic 3/8-mile clay oval in Woodstock, Georgia.

Unpredictable weather patterns and heavy rain from Friday night led to the postponement of Saturday’s racing program at Dixie Speedway. With overnight showers and more scattered storms expected throughout the afternoon and evening, a joint decision was made by Dixie Speedway and Crate Racin’ USA officials to postpone the Independence Day Celebration event.

The event will now be made up on Saturday, August 9th, and will join forces with Tri-County Racetrack in Brasstown, North Carolina, to create a double-header weekend for the Crate Racin’ USA Dirt Late Model Series.

Thanks to the cooperation of Tri-County officials, their originally scheduled Saturday night race will shift to Friday, August 8th, opening the door for Dixie Speedway to take the Saturday slot.

Revised Double-Header Weekend Lineup:
Friday, August 8th – Tri-County Racetrack (Brasstown, NC) – $3,000 to Win
Saturday, August 9th – Dixie Speedway (Woodstock, GA) – $3,000 to Win

Before the rescheduled August events, the Crate Racin’ USA tour will next head to Danville, Alabama, for a July 4th weekend stop at the newly renamed Xtreme Speedway. The series will host a two-night Independence Day special, featuring twin non-points $1,500-to-win features on Friday, July 4th, followed by a $5,000-to-win main event on Saturday, July 5th.

This will mark the first Crate Racin’ USA appearance at the track since 2022, when Seth McCormack scored the win at what was then known as Moulton Speedway.
