Whynot to Host Inaugural Firecracker 50 July 3–5

(Eastaboga, AL – June 30, 2025) – The heat of summer will meet the thunder of horsepower this Fourth of July weekend as Whynot Motorsports Park prepares to launch the Inaugural Firecracker 50, a three-day racing festival from Thursday, July 3 through Saturday, July 5. The “House of Hook,” is bringing together some of the region’s toughest competitors for what promises to be one of the biggest short track events of the summer.

At the heart of the weekend will be the Factory Stock Super Series, headlining the Firecracker 50 with a massive $5,000-to-win main event. Drivers will first take to the track for heat races on Friday night, followed by B-Mains and the championship feature on Saturday.

The action doesn’t stop there. Fans will be treated to a stacked card of racing each night featuring a variety of CRUSA classes. The CRUSA Late Models (604's) will race for $1,000-to-win on both Friday and Saturday, while the CRUSA Late Model Sportsman (602's), CRUSA Street Stocks, and Open Wheel Modifieds will all battle for $750-to-win each night. Additionally, the Enduro division will add some wild-card excitement with a $200-to-win payout both nights.

Things officially kick off Thursday evening with an open practice session for all divisions from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Pit gates open that afternoon at 1:00 PM. Fans and teams alike are encouraged to come out early, get dialed in, and enjoy a festive start to the weekend.

On Friday and Saturday, pit gates will open at noon, while the grandstands welcome fans beginning at 3:00 PM each day. Single-day and multi-day passes are available for both the pits and grandstands, with pricing structured to accommodate families and weekend warriors alike. ATVs, pit bikes, golf carts, and side-by-sides will require a $30 pass for the weekend.

In addition to thrilling on-track action, the Firecracker 50 will be supported by a lineup of dedicated event partners, including TraxPlus, Camper Kingdom, Strength Roofing & Siding, Chick-fil-A, Advanced Auto Glass by Joey, Truckers' Supply Company Inc., and the Mississippi Street Stock Series Presented by Jackson Industrial Services.

Located at 4773 J.W. Reynolds Road in Meridian, Mississippi, Whynot Motorsports Park has long been a staple of grassroots racing in the Southeast, and this inaugural summer celebration is shaping up to become a new holiday tradition for fans and racers alike.
