Crate Racin' USA
Thrash, Pennington, and Bright Score Feature Wins in CRUSA Weekly Action at Whynot
(Meridian, MS – July 19, 2025)– A stacked night of racing brought excitement and drama to Whynot Motorsports Park on Saturday as all three Crate Racin’ USA weekly divisions delivered standout performances. Feature wins were claimed by Nick Thrash (CRUSA 604 Late Models), Chace Pennington (CRUSA 602 Late Model Sportsman), and Logan Bright (CRUSA Street Stocks) in front of an energetic Mississippi crowd.
CRUSA 604 Dirt Late Models
Seventeen entries lined the pits for the headline division, and it was Nick Thrash in the No. 20 machine who set the tone early with a fast time in qualifying (13.237 seconds) and never looked back. Starting from the pole in the 20-lap A-Main, Thrash led every lap to secure the victory.
Chris McElhenney made a strong run from the third starting position to finish second, followed by Brady Walton, who maintained his top-five consistency from qualifying and heat competition. Bobby Jordan and Landen Jackson rounded out the top five.
The hard charger of the night was David Williamson, who stormed through the field from his 17th starting spot to finish an impressive sixth, gaining 11 positions.

CRUSA 602 Late Model Sportsman
The 602 Sportsman class featured 16 entries and was dominated early by Chace Pennington, who topped qualifying and won his heat before cruising to a flag-to-flag win in the 15-lap feature.
Brett White, who started alongside Pennington on the front row, briefly challenged for the lead but ultimately settled for a strong second-place run. Andy Pippin completed the podium after a solid showing in both heat and main event action.
Cooper Thrash advanced from 10th to 4th, while Jeremy Robertson earned hard charger honors with a 7-position gain to finish seventh.

CRUSA Street Stocks
The largest field of the night belonged to the CRUSA Street Stocks with 25 entries, and the A-Main produced a thrilling battle. Logan Bright started third and took control of the race, leading 13 laps enroute to victory.
Early leader Dewayne Estes set quick time in qualifying and led the first two laps before yielding to Bright. Chase Pennington held off a hard-charging field to claim second, while Mark Thorne and Estes completed the top five.
A pair of drivers shared hard charger honors, as Chad Thrash and Douglas Buhler each gained seven spots during the feature event.
