Action-Packed Night of Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Competition Thrills Fans at Needmore Speedway

(Norman Park, GA – August 2, 2025) - Needmore Speedway roared back to life Saturday night with a full slate of Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series action across three divisions—Street Stocks, 604 Late Models, and 602 Late Model Sportsman—each delivering intense competition and plenty of lead changes under the Georgia lights.

CRUSA Street Stock: Devin Walker Controls the Field
Devin Walker muscled his way to the front and never looked back in the CRUSA Street Stock A-Main, leading 13 of the 15 laps after starting on the outside of the front row. Early race leader Dustin Hughes grabbed the jump from the pole and held on for two circuits, but Walker quickly asserted himself and drove away for the win.

Behind Walker, Hughes settled for second, while Cameron Metts surged forward from the sixth starting position to grab the final podium spot. Wes Davis and Justin Scarberry completed the top five in the 11-car field.

Top 5 Finishers:
1-55JR-Devin Walker
2-X2-Dustin Hughes
3-37C-Cameron Metts
4-77-Wes Davis
5-24-Justin Scarberry

604 CRUSA Dirt Late Models: Lloyd Goes Wire-to-Wire
Trynt Lloyd was untouchable in the 604 Dirt Late Model feature, putting on a dominant performance from the pole and leading all 25 laps en route to victory. Lloyd topped qualifying to earn the top starting spot, then made the most of clean air and a smooth groove to drive to the checkers unchallenged.

Jordy Nipper moved up to second after starting third and kept Lloyd within reach early on but couldn’t mount a serious challenge. Cameron Saunders rounded out the top three, while Jonah Bozeman and Austin Yarbrough completed the top five.

Top 5 Finishers:
1-2-Trynt Lloyd
2-1N-Jordy Nipper
3-29S-Cameron Saunders
4-22B-Jonah Bozeman
5-18B-Austin Yarbrough

602 CRUSA Late Model Sportsman: Stephens Slingshots to Victory
The 602 Late Model Sportsman division featured the most dramatic race of the night, as Richie Stephens worked his way to the lead after an early battle with polesitter Dustin Elliott. Elliott led the first eight laps before Stephens found his rhythm and powered to the front, pacing the final 11 laps to score the win in a competitive 19-car field.

Chase Giddens made a late push to finish second ahead of Grayson Ott, while Elliott slipped to fourth at the line. Austin Leamon completed the top five with a solid drive from seventh.

Top 5 Finishers:
1-00-Richie Stephens
2-12C-Chase Giddens
3-3-Grayson Ott
4-16E-Dustin Elliott
5-28-Austin Leamon
