CRUSA Late Model Sportsman Tour Set for Major Double-Header Weekend

(Eastaboga, AL – August 5, 2025) – The Rogers-Dabbs Performance Parts Crate Racin’ USA Late Model Sportsman Tour is back in action this weekend with a massive two-night double-header that could have major championship implications.

The action gets underway Friday night at Johnny Stokes’ Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi, as the tour returns to finish what Mother Nature started back in May. Originally slated for Memorial Day weekend, the $5,000-to-win 602 World Championship was postponed due to rain before the B-Mains and feature event could be contested. Now, the conclusion of this highly anticipated event will happen on night one of the Clash at the Mag weekend, with a stout field of drivers set to chase one of the biggest paydays of the year for the division.

Saturday’s event brings a new challenge as the tour heads to Xtreme Speedway in Danville, Alabama, for the first time ever. The $2,500-to-win feature marks the series’ inaugural appearance at the Mitchell family-promoted facility and only its second-ever visit to the state of Alabama in the tour’s two-year history. A strong regional field is expected to welcome the touring stars on unfamiliar territory.

With just three races in the books so far in 2025, the points race remains tight heading into rounds four and five this weekend. Brayden Johnson of Moultrie, GA, leads the standings after a consistent start to the season. He holds a 14-point advantage over Caleb Ashby of Cunningham, TN, who finished third in last year’s final points standings. Fellow Moultrie native Chase Giddens sits third, with Alabama’s Brennen Shirley and Florida’s Brody Smith rounding out the top five.

Current Top 10 in Tour Points:
1-Brayden Johnson – 272
2-Caleb Ashby – 258 (-14)
3-Chase Giddens – 236 (-36)
4-Brennen Shirley – 234 (-38)
5-Brody Smith – 176 (-96)
6-Brodie Thompson – 174 (-98)
7-Dylan Dunn – 168 (-104)
8-Wyatt Gainey – 156 (-116)
9-Bron Rutledge – 140 (-132)
10-Fletcher Mason – 130 (-142)

Remaining 2025 Tour Schedule:
August 8 – Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, MS) – $5,000 to win
August 9 – Xtreme Speedway (Danville, AL) – $2,500 to win
August 15 – Penton Raceway (Penton, AL) – $1,500 to win
August 16 – Senoia Raceway (Senoia, GA) – $2,000 to win
November 21-22 – Needmore Speedway (Norman Park, GA) – $2,500 to win
November 28-29 – Swainsboro Raceway (Swainsboro, GA) – $5,000 to win

Fans can expect two thrilling nights of competition this weekend as the Late Model Sportsman Tour continues to grow in prestige and popularity across the Southeast.
