Nicely and Hill Capture $5,000 Victories in Bluegrass Street Stock War at Windy Hollow

(Eastaboga, AL – September 29, 2025) – The Windy Hollow Speedway in Owensboro, Kentucky lived up to its reputation as one of the most exciting bullrings in the Southeast, hosting the Bluegrass Street Stock War this past weekend. The two-day spectacle brought together the “Baddest Street Stocks on the Planet” for a pair of $5,000-to-win features, drawing over 60 entries between the two nights of competition.

Friday Night – Hill Rises Late for $5,000 Victory
Friday’s 30-lap feature had the grandstands on their feet as Chase Estes jumped to the early lead from the pole and controlled the opening 24 laps. But with just six laps remaining, Wyatt Hill powered to the front and never looked back, securing the $5,000 win after starting from the fourth row.

Hill’s charge was one of the stories of the weekend, moving from eighth on the grid and capitalizing on a late-race surge to grab the checkered flag. Estes settled for second, while Logan Bright completed the podium in third. The top five was rounded out by Rod Tucker in fourth and Brandon McDowell in fifth.

Heat race victories went to Estes, Spencer Hughes, Lucas Lee, and Matt Kelley, while qualifying was paced by Estes (15.786 seconds) and Lee (15.878 seconds).

Top 5 Finishers – Friday A-Main ($5,000 to-win, 30 laps):
1-Wyatt Hill
2-Chase Estes
3-Logan Bright
4-Rod Tucker
5-Brandon McDowell

Saturday Night – Nicely Dominates for Flag-to-Flag Win
If Friday’s thriller belonged to a late charge, Saturday’s 40-lap feature was all about domination. Tyler Nicely was untouchable from the drop of the green, leading all 40 laps to claim the second $5,000 check of the weekend.

Nicely, who set fast time in Qualifying 2 (15.678 seconds), backed it up with a flawless performance, fending off challenges from Lucas Lee and Spencer Hughes to secure the victory. Lee finished runner-up with Hughes third, while Logan Bright and Blaze Melton completed the top five.

The race also showcased hard chargers, including Hill, Friday’s winner, who rallied from the back row (28th) to finish seventh in a stunning drive through the field.

Heat race wins went to Melton, Megan Erwin, Nicely, and Lee, with Melton and Nicely earning fast time honors in their respective groups.

Top 5 Finishers – Saturday A-Main ($5,000 to-win, 40 laps):
