Horton Hauls to Victory in CRUSA Weekly Dirt Late Models at Hendry County

(Eastaboga, AL – October 6, 2025) – The Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Dirt Late Models competed at Hendry County Motorsports Park in Clewiston, Florida, on Saturday night in the Sunshine State. Veteran driver Doug Horton charged from his fifth-place starting position to score the feature victory, marking another impressive run for the home state standout during the fall stretch of CRUSA Weekly Racing.

Pole sitter Jon Basquin led the first half of the 20-lap main event, setting the early pace while fending off challenges from Cole Crawford and Jason Intoppa. But as the laps clicked away, Horton’s 46 machine came to life. Methodically carving his way through the field, Horton found momentum in the middle groove and closed rapidly on the leader.

By lap 12, Horton powered to the inside of Basquin to take the top spot and never looked back, leading the final nine circuits en route to the checkered flag. Basquin held strong to finish second, with Chris Loney completing the podium in third. Crawford crossed the line fourth, while Larry Hubbard Jr. earned Hard Charger honors, storming from 10th to fifth by race’s end.
