Steele Completes Championship Season with Turkey 100 Victory at Swainsboro

(Swainsboro, GA – November 30, 2025) — Jeremy Steele put an exclamation point on a remarkable 2025 season Saturday night, dominating the 15th Annual Turkey 100 at Swainsboro Raceway to claim the $10,000 victory and officially secure the Rogers-Dabbs Performance Parts Crate Racin’ USA Dirt Late Model Series Championship.

“I love this race; I’ve been coming down here for probably five years now. I
was lucky enough to win down here earlier this year,” Steele said. “I mean, this is by far the best year I’ve ever had in racing, and it was the best way to cap it off. That’s the coolest trophy anybody will ever get to race for, and I’ve been dying to have one on my shelf for years now.”

Starting from the pole, Steele controlled the 50-lap season finale by leading all but one circuit. The 24-year-old driver from York, South Carolina briefly relinquished the top spot on lap 31 but immediately regained command and never looked back, holding off a late charge from Bubba Roling to take the checkered flag by 0.286 seconds.

The victory marked Steele’s second $10,000 triumph of the season at Swainsboro, backing up his dominant win in May’s Pine Tree 100. The Turkey 100 finale also secured his place in the Crate Racin’ USA record books as the 15th different champion in the 21-year history of the 604 Dirt Late Model Series. Steele’s consistency throughout the year also earned him Rookie of the Year honors, completing one of the strongest debut seasons in series history.

The 15th running of the Turkey 100 delivered the intensity and excitement expected from one of the most popular events on the Crate Racin’ USA schedule. Steele set the tone early by topping the 43-car field in Bama Sheds and Pole Barns pole qualifying with a 14.395-second lap and went on to win his Chevrolet Performance heat race, locking himself into the pole position.

Once the green flag dropped, Steele established himself as the driver to beat. Bubba Roling, who started deep in the field on row seven, charged through traffic and briefly took the lead on lap 31. However, Steele quickly reclaimed the top spot on the next lap and managed the pace through lapped traffic and late-race pressure to secure the victory.

Roling settled for second, continuing his late-season surge, while outside polesitter Joseph Brown completed the podium in third. Scorpion Race Cars Hard Charger honors went to Michael Brown, who advanced 16 positions to finish fourth. Series regular Matt Henderson completed the top five.

Further back in the field, provisional starter John Ruggiero Jr. delivered one of the night’s most notable performances. After starting 25th and spinning on lap 30, Ruggiero rebounded to finish eighth, earning the night’s biggest recovery drive. Former Turkey 100 winner and World of Outlaws regular Cody Overton was running seventh before retiring with two laps remaining.

The event was slowed by three cautions and was completed in 31 minutes, with 12 drivers finishing on the lead lap. A mid-race incident involving Austin Yarbrough, Koulten Herbert, and Ben Faircloth brought out one of the cautions and sparked tempers, resulting in Yarbrough tossing his steering wheel toward Herbert’s car under yellow. Caleb Gay brought out the first caution of the night with a flat right-front tire on lap 29.

Off the track, the evening also included a celebration for Trent Ivey, who marked his 31st birthday. Ivey’s night ended early in the Turkey 100, but he captured the $5,000-to-win CRUSA 602 Late Model Sportsman Tour feature earlier in the program.
