Crate Racin' USA

Gillespie, Parsons, Kelly, and Griffith Score CRUSA Wins at Pine Ridge

(Eastaboga, AL - March 30, 2026) – Saturday night racing returned to Pine Ridge Speedway with a full slate of Crate Racin’ USA sanctioned divisions taking to the track, delivering exciting action across four divisions as drivers battled for early-season momentum.

In the Rogers-Dabbs Performance Parts Crate Racin’ USA Dirt Late Model division, Oakley Gillespie charged from the second starting position to claim the feature win. Gillespie capitalized on early race speed and held off a strong challenge from Steve Russell, who finished second, while Felix George completed the podium. Fast qualifier Ryan Steig set the tone early in the night with a lap of 14.582 seconds and also picked up the heat race victory, but mechanical issues ended his night early in the feature.

The Crate Racin’ USA Late Model Sportsman division saw Covy Parsons put together an impressive drive, advancing from the second starting position to take the win in the 15-lap main event. Spencer Moore followed Parsons to the line in second, with Mark McCoy, who won his heat race, finishing third after starting on the pole. RJ Emison topped qualifying with a quick lap of 14.565 seconds, but was unable to convert it into a podium finish after crossing the line in fifth.

In Crate Racin’ USA Street Stock action, Jeremy Kelly powered to victory lane after starting second, fending off Cody Chism in a competitive feature. Johnny Kelly made a strong charge through the field to finish third, gaining several positions from his starting spot. Chism and Kelly each picked up heat race wins earlier in the evening, setting the stage for the feature showdown.

The Crate Racin’ USA Modified Sportsman division saw a dominant performance from Shane Griffith, who led from the drop of the green flag to secure the win. Griffith, who also won his heat race, held off a hard-charging Ray Mauldin, who advanced from sixth to finish second. Jonathan Pridmore rounded out the top three. The race saw its share of attrition, with several competitors unable to finish the event after early incidents.
