Davy Woodard Memorial Starts 2026 for Waycross!
(Eastaboga, AL - April 8, 2026) – A new season begins this Saturday night in South Georgia as Waycross Motor Speedway roars back to life with one of its most meaningful and anticipated events of the year—the 6th Annual Davy Woodard Memorial.
The green flag on the 2026 season will wave in honor of Davy Woodard, as drivers and fans alike gather at the historic facility to celebrate his legacy with a full night of high-intensity racing action.
Headlining the evening will be the season opener for the Southern Clash Late Models presented by O’Reilly Auto Parts, with drivers battling for a unique $2,589-to-win payday. The Southern Clash tour has built a reputation for delivering thrilling competition across the Southeast, and Saturday’s opener at Waycross is expected to draw a strong field ready to chase early-season momentum.
In addition to the headline division, a full slate of classes will be in action, giving fans a packed night of racing from start to finish. The Crate Racin’ USA Late Model Sportsman (602) division will compete for $889 to-win, while the Super Street and Factory Stock divisions will each battle for $689 top prizes. The always-entertaining Crown Vic division rounds out the program with $389 going to the winner.
Fans can expect a full evening of entertainment both on and off the track, as Waycross Motor Speedway continues its tradition of affordable, family-friendly racing. Grandstand admission is set at just $15, while pit passes are $35. Children ages 12 and under are admitted free, making it a perfect opportunity for families to kick off their racing season together.
The schedule for the evening will see pit gates open at 3:00 PM, grandstands opening at 4:00 PM, hot laps beginning at 6:00 PM, and racing action set to go green at 7:00 PM.
Located at 2101 Knight Avenue in Waycross, Georgia, the facility—known for its rich history and passionate fanbase—once again prepares to showcase “Racing South Georgia Style” as the 2026 season gets underway.
