Skinner and McVey Score CRUSA Wins as TST

(Eastaboga, AL – April 11, 2026) – A packed house filled the grandstands at Talladega Short Track on Saturday night as “The Hornet’s Nest” continued its 49th season with the thunder of the American Big Rigs rolling into town. Alongside the headline attraction, the Crate Racin’ USA Weekly divisions delivered another night of intense, side-by-side racing on the high-banked red clay oval.

When the night came to a close, Cruz Skinner and Logan McVey stood tall in victory lane, picking up wins in the CRUSA Dirt Late Models and CRUSA Modified divisions.

A competitive 15-car field of CRUSA Dirt Late Models took the green flag for their 20-lap main event, and it was Cruz Skinner who set the tone early from the pole position.

Skinner jumped out front at the drop of the green and never looked back, leading all 20 laps to secure an impressive flag-to-flag victory. Behind him, Adam Gauldin worked his way forward from fourth to finish second, while Heath Carr crossed the line in third after starting alongside Skinner on the front row.

Brad Berry and Brodie Thompson completed the top five in a feature that saw tight racing throughout the field.

Skinner and Carr captured heat race wins earlier in the evening.

Parker Thompson and Chris Fennell rounded out the top five in the competitive main event.

Heat race victories went to Jammie Gowers and Logan McVey, setting the stage for the feature.
