Winter Storm Enzo Cancels Thursday Program; Focus Shifts to Weekend Events for Sunshine Nationals

(Barberville, FL – January 22, 2025) – Due to hazardous driving conditions, road closures, and the heavy rain and cold temperatures brought by Winter Storm Enzo, World Racing Group and Volusia Speedway Park officials have made the decision to cancel Thursday’s DIRTcar Sunshine Nationals program.

This decision was made with the safety of race teams and fans in mind, allowing for ample time to travel to Volusia as the storm passes through the Southeast. Officials are focused on ensuring that the facility is ready to welcome competitors and spectators for a thrilling weekend of racing action.

The Friday and Saturday races will go on as scheduled for the Rogers-Dabbs Performance Parts Crate Racin’ USA Winter Shootout Series, with Friday’s events featuring $1,500-to-win Features. The weekend will culminate on Saturday with a 30-lap, $10,000-to-win main event. Additionally, the World of Outlaws Late Models and 602 Late Models will also compete Friday and Saturday as well.

Schedule Update:
Friday: Pit pass sales will begin at 9 a.m. with hauler load-in starting at 10 a.m. All other times remain the same, with spectator gates opening at 3 p.m. and Hot Laps beginning at 4 p.m.

World Racing Group and Volusia Speedway Park are committed to providing an exciting weekend of racing action and appreciate the continued support of teams and fans.
