Crate Racin' USA at Moulton Canceled Due to Expected Evening Showers
(Eastaboga, AL - September 27th, 2024) — Moulton Speedway has announced the cancellation of tonight’s racing program at the Moulton facility due to anticipated rain from the remnants of Hurricane Helene. While the venue has not received as much rain as initially expected, weather forecasts indicate that rain will resume this evening, creating unsafe conditions for competitors and spectators alike.
“We haven’t received near what the weather predictions have been however we have teams coming from 3-5 hours away and we are expecting a higher chance of rain fall around 4pm-6pm so we are just afraid of taking a chance and having these teams burn unnecessary gas and time,” said the tracks Facebook page.
In place of the canceled event, series teams will now head to Pine Ridge Speedway in Mississippi tomorrow night for a $2,000-to-win main event.
