Moxley & Martin Go Flag-to-Flag at Deep South Speedway’s Throwback Night
(Loxley, AL - April 18, 2026) – Deep South Speedway continued its 2026 season on Saturday night with “Throwback to the 90s” night, bringing a strong crowd and competitive fields to the Loxley, Alabama oval. Fans were treated to a full night of racing, highlighted by CRUSA Dirt Late Models and CRUSA Street Stocks.
In CRUSA Dirt Late Model competition, Joey Moxley put together a flawless performance, leading all 20 laps of the feature event to score the victory. Starting from the pole, Moxley never relinquished control and held off a strong field throughout the caution-free run.
Randy Darby crossed the line in second after a consistent run near the front, while Ben Davis completed the podium in third. Austin Morris and Christopher Reid rounded out the top five.
Shannon Lee set the pace in qualifying with a fast lap of 16.242 seconds, but was unable to convert that speed into a feature win, finishing tenth after starting on the front row.

In CRUSA Street Stock action, Calvin Martin dominated the 15-lap feature, leading every lap en route to the win over a 13-car field. Martin took control early and never looked back, continuing his strong season form.
Austin Moye finished second, followed by Dustin Hughes in third. Brandon Parker and Sean Goodwin completed the top five.

Deep South Speedway now turns its attention to one of the most anticipated events of the season, the “Forever 51” weekend on May 1-2. The Factory Stock/Pure Stock Challenge will pay $5,100 to win, with pre-registration set at $150 through April 27 and $200 after.

In addition to the marquee event, CRUSA Dirt Late Models, CRUSA Street Stocks, Modifieds, Pure Stocks, Factory Stocks, and Stingers will all be in action.
