CRUSA Double Features at Hattiesburg!
(Eastaboga, AL – August 24, 2025) – Fans at Hattiesburg Speedway were treated to double the action on Saturday night, as the CRUSA Weekly Divisions made up their May 9th rainout before rolling straight into their regularly scheduled August 23rd program. With a stout field of Dirt Late Models and Street Stocks, South Mississippi’s Action Track delivered a full evening of side-by-side racing and dramatic finishes.
CRUSA Dirt Late Models - Nine entries signed in for the Dirt Late Models, and the first feature of the night served as the long-awaited makeup from May. Ben Davis (147) made the most of his second-row starting spot, charging past early leader Sid Scarbrough (33) to score the 15-lap victory. Scarbrough settled for second, while Brady Walton (B2) rounded out the podium with a strong third-place run.
In the regularly scheduled Feature #1, David Williamson (28) found redemption after a tough finish in the makeup, rolling to the checkered flag after starting from the outside front row. Jason Taylor (48) advanced into second, while Walton once again claimed third to complete a consistent night. Scarbrough, who topped both qualifying rounds with laps of 13.500 and 13.498, finished fifth in the nightcap.

Ricky Idom (KC21) made a late push to claim second, with James Sheasby (13J) close behind in third.
But when the second feature rolled around, it was all Idom, who started from the pole and never looked back to score the August 23rd victory. Bryce Sheasby finished runner-up, while James once again completed the podium in third.
Qualifying saw both Idom and Bryce Sheasby top the time sheets, with Idom turning a 15.837 in the opening round and Bryce rebounding with a blistering 15.753 lap in round two.
