Crate Racin' USA

CRUSA Weekly Racing Division Action at Camden Speedway

(Eastaboga, AL – September 16, 2025) – Camden Speedway in Camden, Tennessee hosted a full slate of Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Division action on Saturday, September 13, with three divisions on track providing fans with side-by-side competition.

Matt Cooper came out on top in the CRUSA Late Model Sportsman feature, charging from his outside front row starting position to claim the 15-lap victory. Cooper trailed heat race winner Justin Pugh early in the evening but capitalized when it counted, holding off Pugh for the feature win. Pugh settled for second, followed by Knox Lamberth in third, Joel Russell in fourth, and John Flowers rounding out the top five.

The CRUSA Street Stocks brought the biggest car count of the night with eight entries, and it was no surprise to see local standout TJ Herndon park his familiar No. 1 machine in Victory Lane. Herndon set fast time in qualifying, won his heat, and then completed the sweep with a flag-to-flag win in the 15-lap main event. Dale Nelson earned the runner-up spot, while Jason Dukes held on for third. Marlin Cathey and Dakota Berry completed the top five finishers. David Cooper claimed sixth, with Ryan Latch scored seventh after an early exit. Cole Edwards did not make the start.

In the CRUSA Modified Sportsman division, it was Rex Berry who set the pace all night long. After topping qualifying, Berry led all 15 laps of the feature to secure the victory ahead of Rusty Mullins and Neil Thompson.

Camden Speedway will return to action on Saturday, September 27th with Sharp Mini Late Models & Weekly Racing. The pit gates will open at 4:00 PM with grandstands opening at 6:00 PM. Camden is located at 500 U.S. 70 in Camden, TN.
