Thrash, Pennington, Boland, and Smith Claim Victories on Night Two of the Cotton Pickin’ at Magnolia

(Eastaboga, AL – September 24, 2025) – The second night of the Cotton Pickin’ at Magnolia Motor Speedway delivered another action-packed evening of Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series competition, with four divisions tackling “The Mag” in front of an excited Mississippi crowd.

Local favorite Nick Thrash (#20) powered his way to victory in the CRUSA Dirt Late Model feature, fending off opening night winner Andrew Harrell (#36) in a thrilling 40-lap battle. Chris McElhenney (#27) rounded out the podium after a strong drive from fifth, while Jamey Boland (#232) and David Williamson (#28) completed the top five.

It was all Chace Pennington (#54) in the CRUSA Late Models Sportsman main event, as he dominated from the pole to claim the checkered flag. Colby Ponds (#51) and Kyle Shaw (#2S) stayed close but settled for second and third. Josh Parkerson (#127) and Ellie Hughes Callahan (#9) made late charges to finish inside the top five.

Jamey Boland (#232) continued his stellar weekend by claiming the CRUSA Street Stock feature, holding off Caiden Jackson (#05) and Trey Bright (#9) in a heated battle for podium spots. Shay Knight (#3) and Logan Bright (#82) followed to round out the top five in a race that saw plenty of side-by-side action.

In the CRUSA Modified Sportsman division, Brent Smith (#11) was the class of the field, taking the win from the pole position. Jason Hollis (#5) advanced to second, while Parker Price (#17) grabbed third. Jamie Sudduth (#11S) and Dees Price (#117) capped off the top five in the caution-plagued feature.
