Daspit, Sheasby Win CRUSA Weekly Divisions at Mitchell's Motorplex

(Eastaboga, AL – September 24, 2025) - Fans packed into Mitchell’s Motorplex on Saturday night for another thrilling edition of Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing, where both the CRUSA Dirt Late Models and CRUSA Street Stocks put on an action-filled show under the lights.

It was a perfect night for Noah Daspit (#1), who set fast time in qualifying with a 16.241-second lap before carrying that momentum into the feature event. Starting from the pole, Daspit controlled the pace from the drop of the green and never looked back, scoring a dominant victory to cap off a flawless night in Perkinston.

Behind Daspit, Taylor Jarvis (#36) advanced from his fourth-place starting spot to claim the runner-up position, while Sid Scarbrough (#33) held steady in third after qualifying on the outside of the front row. Jason Taylor (#48) and Blake Glass (#84) rounded out the top five in the 23-car field.

Veteran Shannon Lee (#47Y) impressed with a charge from the 11th starting position to finish sixth, while Derek Smith (#18S) was the hard charger of the night, coming from 19th to 7th at the checkered flag. Several front runners, including Landen Jackson (#18) and Drew Lafontaine (#221), saw strong nights cut short with mechanical issues.

The CRUSA Street Stock division once again delivered close-quarters racing, with Bryce Sheasby (#13S) capturing the feature win after starting on the outside of the front row. Sheasby picked up a heat race win earlier in the night and backed it up in the main event, holding off Calvin Martin (#C24), who had dominated Heat 1 and led early before settling for second.

Dannon LaCoste (#91) turned in a strong performance to land on the podium in third, followed by Michael “Fieldmouse” Rodrigue (#14) in fourth and Landen Jackson (#22) rounding out the top five. Hard luck fell on Brandon Parker (#49), who looked like a contender after a strong heat race run but saw his night end early in the feature with a DNF.

Top 5 Finishers – Street Stocks:
1-13S-Bryce Sheasby
2-C24-Calvin Martin
3-91-Dannon LaCoste
