Crate Racin' USA
Knowles Named 2025 Bob Cross Lifetime Achievement Award Winner
(Eastaboga, AL – January 12, 2026) — What began as an evening to catch up with friends and celebrate another successful season turned into an unforgettable moment for longtime Crate Racin’ USA supporter Cindy Knowles, who was honored with the 2025 Bob Cross Memorial Lifetime Achievement Award during the Crate Racin’ USA Awards Banquet.
Knowles admitted she had no idea what was coming when Crate Racin’ USA Series Director Adam Stewart began introducing the prestigious award. “I was completely shocked, speechless, and very emotional,” Knowles shared. “I truly thought we were just there to hang out and see everyone.”
The Bob Cross Memorial Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes individuals whose dedication and long-term commitment have helped shape Crate Racin’ USA into one of the premier crate racing organizations in the country. For Knowles, being named among past recipients made the moment even more meaningful.
“To be on the list with names like Jeff Purvis, Ronnie Johnson, Johnny Stokes, and others is such an honor,” she said.
Knowles’ history with Crate Racin’ USA dates back to the very beginning. Prior to the banquet, she reflected with Wade and Jake about attending the first Crate Racin’ USA race more than 20 years ago, where they actually helped hand-score the event. Since that time, Knowles has been a supporter of the series from day one and a sponsor for many years.
“I’ll be the first to tell them what they’re doing wrong,” Knowles said with a smile, “but when you’ve been in business for 20 years, you’re clearly doing something right.”
During her acceptance speech, Knowles also shared words of encouragement for racers considering touring competition.
“If anyone wants to race a touring series and can’t afford a super motor, or if you’re just starting out, go buy a 604 and jump on this series,” she said. “Crate Racin’ USA is where you need to be.”
Knowles closed by expressing her appreciation to Stewart and the entire Crate Racin’ USA staff.
“Thank you to Adam and the series staff. Keep up the good work.”
The honor serves as a fitting tribute to Knowles’ passion, honesty, and unwavering commitment to the growth of crate racing—qualities that continue to help define the spirit of Crate Racin’ USA.
