Winter Shootout Series Gears Up for Doubleheader at Needmore

(Eastaboga, AL – January 28, 2026) — America’s Leader in Racing is headed back to South Georgia as the Rogers-Dabbs Performance Parts Crate Racin’ USA Winter Shootout Series prepares for a pivotal weekend of racing at Needmore Speedway. The series will take center stage Friday and Saturday, January 30–31, during the South Georgia Showdown, featuring two points-paying feature events that could play a major role in deciding the 2026 Winter Shootout championship.

Michael Page of Douglasville, Georgia reclaimed the Winter Shootout Series points lead following his $10,000 victory at Volusia Speedway Park, where he charged from 20th to 1st in Saturday night’s 30-lap Sunshine Nationals finale. The win marked Page’s second Winter Shootout Series victory of the 2026 season and his first career Sunshine Nationals triumph.

Page enters Needmore Speedway holding a two-point advantage over Alabaster, Alabama’s Deisel Jones, with Locust Grove, Georgia driver Koulten Herbert trailing by 24 points. With only three points-paying events remaining on the Winter Shootout schedule — and two of them taking place this weekend — the South Georgia Showdown could prove decisive in the championship battle.

Friday night’s action will be highlighted by a $3,000-to-win CRUSA Late Model feature, followed by a $3,000-to-win main event on Saturday night. The weekend marks the first-ever visit to Needmore Speedway for the Winter Shootout Series and makes Needmore just the fourth Georgia track to host the mini-series since its inception in 2016. Previous Georgia venues include Golden Isles Speedway, Oglethorpe Speedway Park, and Cochran Motor Speedway — which will host the Winter Shootout Series finale on February 28 for the first time since March of 2020.

The South Georgia Showdown weekend will be headlined by the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series, bringing two huge nights of racing to Norman Park, Georgia.
