MSCCS Super Late Models Headline Season Opener at Jackson

(Eastaboga, AL – March 2, 2026) — The 2026 racing season roars to life this Saturday night, March 7, as Jackson Motor Speedway opens its gates for a Season Opener featuring the return of the Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series (MSCCS) Super Late Models.

One of the most exciting dirt-track facilities in the Magnolia State, Jackson Motor Speedway has hosted the MSCCS Super Late Models more than 50 times over the years, producing a rich history of marquee winners, unforgettable slide jobs, and side-by-side battles under the lights. With 800-plus horsepower machines, high-side momentum, and daring moves at the flag stand, fans can expect the trademark intensity that has defined MSCCS competition at Jackson for more than two decades.

The list of past MSCCS winners at Jackson reads like a who’s who of Southern dirt racing, including legends and modern standouts such as Bill Frye, Mike Boland, Scott Slay, Duke Whiseant, David Breazeale, Bub McCool, Chris Wall, Kyle Beard, Billy Moyer Jr., Tyler Erb, Garrett Alberson, and Mike Palasini Jr. The tradition continued in 2025, when Palasini Jr. and Breazeale again etched their names into Jackson’s history books.

Saturday night’s Season Opener is more than just a Super Late Model showcase. As a Crate Racin’ USA sanctioned facility, Jackson Motor Speedway will also host multiple Crate Racin’ USA divisions with National Points on the line, giving drivers a crucial early-season opportunity in the championship chase.

Full Racing Program – All Classes in Action: MSCCS Super Late Models, Rogers-Dabbs Performance Parts CRUSA Late Models, KB Motorsports CRUSA Late Model Sportsman, Rayner’s Automotive CRUSA Street Stocks, Patriot Roofing Factory Stocks, Whitney Howze Bail Bonds Hotshots (SCDRA Sports Compact), Crown Vics, and Limited Modifieds.

From headline Super Late Models to grassroots divisions, the Jackson Season Opener delivers a complete night of racing from top to bottom.
