Week Two: CRUSA National Points Set for Busy Weekend Across the Southeast
(Eastaboga, AL – March 5, 2026) – The second week of the 2026 Rogers-Dabbs Performance Parts Crate Racin’ USA National Points season is set to get underway this weekend with a packed slate of racing and special events across the Southeast. Following an exciting opening week that saw drivers begin their quest toward national championships, Week Two will feature racing action at multiple sanctioned tracks along with several marquee touring events that share the spotlight.
Drivers in the CRUSA Weekly divisions—604 Crate Late Models, Late Model Sportsman (602), Modified Sportsman, and Street Stocks—will once again have opportunities to begin building valuable national points totals as the season rolls into its second weekend.
Friday night racing will take place at several venues across the region, including Deep South Speedway in Loxley, Alabama, where the United Sprint Car Series (USCS) headlines the evening. Hattiesburg Speedway in Hattiesburg, Mississippi will host its popular “Friday Night Fueled” weekly racing program, while Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, Alabama will welcome the NOS Energy Drinks World of Outlaws Sprint Cars for a special appearance at the famed “Hornet’s Nest.”
Action continues Saturday night with another full schedule of racing and practice sessions across the Southeast. One of the weekend’s highlights will take place at Cochran Motor Speedway in Cochran, Georgia, where the CRUSA Street Stocks will battle for a $4,000-to-win feature following last weekend’s rainout.
Additional Saturday events include the Late Model Challenge Series Round No. 1 at Southern Raceway in Milton, Florida, which awards full CRUSA national points for the 604 Late Models. Meanwhile, the Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series (MSCCS) Super Late Models will headline the program at Jackson Motor Speedway in Byram, Mississippi, with CRUSA divisions also expected to be part of the night’s racing action.
Several facilities will also host preseason preparations, including open practice sessions at Baton Rouge Raceway in Louisiana, Mitchell’s Motorplex in Mississippi, and Talladega Short Track in Alabama, giving teams a chance to dial in their race cars early in the season.
In addition, both Deep South Speedway and Magnolia Motor Speedway will host major touring sprint car events, as the USCS and the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series make appearances in the region during the same weekend.
With national points awarded across sanctioned events for the next several months, consistency will once again play a key role in the championship chase. Drivers will count their best 12 finishes toward the 2026 national championship standings, making each race weekend an opportunity to build momentum toward the season-long title.
Drivers who have not yet registered for the 2026 national points season can still join the chase by purchasing their annual Crate Racin’ USA membership through MyRacePass.
