2026 CRUSA Winter Shootout Series Season Opens with the Ice Bowl

(Eastaboga, AL – December 30, 2025) — The eleventh season of the Rogers-Dabbs Performance Parts Crate Racin' USA Winter Shootout Series officially roars to life this weekend as the mini-series opens with one of the most prestigious winter events in dirt track racing — the 35th Annual Ice Bowl at the legendary Talladega Short Track.

The Chevrolet Performance 604 Late Model mini-series kicks off with a $4,000-to-win main event, launching a five-race Winter Shootout schedule that has become a cornerstone of early-season racing across the Southeast. Each year, the Ice Bowl serves as both a season opener and a tone-setter, often shaping the championship fight that follows.

Drivers from across the South are expected to converge on the 1/3-mile clay oval, continuing a long-standing tradition that has made the Ice Bowl a true staple of Southeastern dirt racing. More than 400 cars filled the pit area one year ago, underscoring the event’s reputation as one of the largest and most competitive winter shows in the region. Since the inception of the Winter Shootout Series, the Ice Bowl has opened all ten previous seasons, further cementing its place as the official launch point of the mini-series.

History has shown just how important a strong Ice Bowl performance can be. Three of the last seven Winter Shootout champions began their title runs with an Ice Bowl victory, proving that success in Eastaboga often carries momentum throughout the series.
