Jones Captures His First Winter Shootout Victory at Hendry County

(Clewiston, FL – January 18, 2026) — Deisel Jones of Alabaster, Alabama captured the biggest victory of his racing career Saturday night at Hendry County Motorsports Park, scoring a $12,000 triumph with the Rogers-Dabbs Performance Parts Crate Racin’ USA Winter Shootout Series during the Clyde Johnson Contracting & Roofing 100.

Starting fifth on the grid, Jones methodically worked his way into contention before making the winning move on lap 19, slipping past polesitter Christian Schneider and leading the remainder of the 75-lap main event at the “Southern Most Dirt Track in the U.S.A.”

“It’s amazing,” Jones said in Victory Lane. “Coming down here, I didn’t know what I was expecting, but I guess I love it now.”

The win marked a career-high payday for Jones and continued his strong Winter Shootout momentum after finishing third in the season opener at Talladega Short Track, where he was also a feature winner during the 2025 season.

Schneider of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania set fast time with a lap of 14.582 seconds, started from the pole, and controlled the opening 18 laps before giving way to Jones. Late in the race, Daulton Wilson of Fayetteville, North Carolina mounted a last-ditch charge around the high side but could not overcome Jones’ control of the bottom groove in the closing laps.

Eighth-starting Cody Overton briefly entered the top-three battle but spun from third on lap 17, while Sam Seawright of Rainsville, Alabama put together one of the night’s strongest performances, charging from 10th to finish fourth. Blake Clouser of Lake Helen, Florida earned the Scorpion Race Cars Hard Charger honors, advancing from 19th to seventh after winning the consolation race.

Friday night action saw Ty Giles, Christian Schneider, and Daulton Wilson claim Chevrolet Performance heat race victories, setting the stage for Saturday’s most lucrative Winter Shootout event. The 75-lap feature wrapped up just before 9 p.m., with a total of 26 entries on hand for the weekend.
