Crate Racin' USA
CRUSA 2026 National Points Season Set to Launch February 23
(Eastaboga, AL – February 3, 2026) — The countdown is officially on. In just 20 days, the 2026 National Points season for Rogers-Dabbs Performance Parts Crate Racin' USA will roar to life on February 23, ushering in another action-packed year of weekly championship racing across the Southeast.
For the upcoming season, 29 sanctioned tracks in seven states will host weekly competition as drivers chase national championship points across four CRUSA Weekly Divisions over a 32-week schedule, running through September 27. At season’s end, the Top 10 drivers in each division will be recognized and honored at the annual year-end awards banquet.
The 2026 points structure rewards both consistency and flexibility:
-Drivers may count their best 12 finishes toward the national championship
-Only the best finish of each week counts toward national points
-If a driver competes on both Friday and Saturday, the best finish of the two nights is applied
This format allows competitors to race close to home or travel regionally, while still remaining competitive in the national standings.
The stakes are high once again in CRUSA’s weekly divisions:
CRUSA Weekly Late Models (604) – $12,000 to the National Champion
CRUSA Street Stocks – $4,000 Championship Award
CRUSA Late Model Sportsman (602) – $4,000 Championship Award
CRUSA Modified Sportsman – $3,000 Championship Award
In addition, the VP Racing Fuels Young Guns Challenge returns in 2026, awarding $1,000 to the top driver 18 years old or younger competing in the CRUSA Weekly Late Model division.
The CRUSA National Points program continues to build on a rich history of champions across its divisions, with past titleholders including multi-time winners, regional standouts, and drivers who have used the weekly program as a springboard to higher levels of competition.
From Lucky Keeton and Johnny Stokes to recent back-to-back champion David Williamson in the Weekly Late Models, and dominant runs by drivers such as Calvin Martin (Street Stock) and Chuck Gipson (Modified Sportsman), the national points championships remain among the most respected accomplishments in grassroots dirt racing.
