Jones Captures 2026 CRUSA Winter Shootout Series Championship
(Eastaboga, AL – March 10, 2026) – Alabaster, Alabama driver Deisel Jones has been crowned the 2026 Rogers-Dabbs Performance Parts Crate Racin’ USA Winter Shootout Series Champion, following a stellar and consistent performance throughout the six-race winter mini-series.
Jones’ championship run was built on steady results and timely victories against a stout field of competitors. Over the course of the 2026 Winter Shootout schedule, Jones captured three major victories, including a $12,000 triumph at Hendry County Motorsports Park, a $3,000 win at Needmore Speedway, and a Sunshine Nationals preliminary feature victory at Volusia Speedway Park. In total, Jones recorded four Top-5 finishes and five Top-10 finishes across the six events, accumulating 476 points to secure the championship.
“It means the world to be the champion, to be honest,” Jones said. “After last year I thought there was no chance. I couldn’t even make half the shows we showed up to. All I really wanted to do was win a race first, but after I won at Hendry I was just focused on the championship. Now I’m just hoping to carry this momentum into the touring series.”
The title marks Jones’ first major Crate Racin’ USA series championship and places his name among an elite list of drivers who have captured the Winter Shootout crown. With his victory, Jones becomes the eighth different champion in the eleven-year history of the mini-series, which first began in 2016.
Jones also reflected on how his passion for racing began through his family. “The only family I know of that raced was my dad,” Jones explained. “All I ever got to do was watch him race a few times a year. He tried to put me in a go-kart when I was young, and I really wasn’t even interested. But when I was 15 he got me a 602 car, and I won my first race in it. Ever since then I’ve been hooked.”
Jones also credited the strong support system behind his racing program. “I would like to thank my Mom and my Dad the most,” Jones added. “I’ve also got to thank Richard—he’s always the first call when I’m at the track and something goes wrong or I need help with something. I also want to thank Matt Logan, Michael, Tim with Spring Pro, Racetek, and can’t forget Codi and Lee for everything they do to help.”
With the Winter Shootout title secured, Jones now turns his attention to the upcoming 2026 Crate Racin’ USA Dirt Late Model Series season, which begins March 27–28 at Needmore Speedway with the 3rd Annual Southern Heritage Classic, featuring a $10,000-to-win main event.
