Davis and Herbert Strike Gold at Shamrock Showdown at 441 Speedway
(Dublin, GA – March 15, 2026) — A packed weekend of racing wrapped up Saturday night at 441 Speedway as the Shamrock Showdown brought two nights of competition for Crate Racin’ USA weekly divisions. When the checkered flags fell, Matt Davis claimed the CRUSA Street Stock victory while Koulten Herbert dominated the CRUSA Late Model Sportsman feature, both leading every lap of their respective 20-lap main events.
Matt Davis put together a flawless performance in the CRUSA Street Stocks feature, starting from the pole position and pacing the field for all 20 laps to secure the Shamrock Showdown victory.
Davis had pressure early from Tyler Davis, who settled into second place and stayed within striking distance throughout the race but was unable to find a way around the leader. Chris Shaw completed the podium with a solid third-place effort.
Avery Peacock finished fourth, followed closely by Joshua Nelms in fifth. Robert Fail crossed the line sixth, while Preston Johns was unable to start the feature event.
The Street Stock field was set during Friday night’s preliminary action, where Matt Davis also showed speed by winning his heat race and setting fast time in qualifying with a lap of 16.433 seconds. Tyler Davis captured the second heat race victory as drivers battled to position themselves for Saturday night’s main event.

In the CRUSA Late Model Sportsman division, Koulten Herbert delivered a commanding performance, leading every circuit of the 20-lap feature to take the Shamrock Showdown win.
Herbert started from the front row and quickly established control of the race, holding off Griffin Smith throughout the event. Smith stayed close but ultimately finished second, while Dawson Martin rounded out the podium in third.
Landon Mathews finished fourth ahead of Josh Lanford in fifth. Caleb Gay finished sixth, followed by Eric Baggett in seventh, Ken Ricks in eighth, and Ben Lanford in ninth. Justus Maurice completed the top ten, while Wesley Robertson finished eleventh and Tyler Williamson did not start the feature.
Friday night qualifying set the stage for the weekend’s action, with Herbert posting the fastest lap of the session at 14.830 seconds, edging Griffin Smith and Landon Mathews for the top qualifying honors among the 13-car field.
