Crate Racin' USA
Overton, Jones, and Mathews Lead CRUSA Winners at Swainsboro
(Swainsboro, GA – March 22, 2026) – “The Boro” finally came to life Saturday night as Swainsboro Raceway officially opened its 2026 season, and the Crate Racin’ USA divisions delivered a strong night of competition across the board.
After an earlier rainout delayed the season opener, drivers and fans were treated to a full slate of racing action, highlighted by victories from Cody Overton, Jared Jones, and Landon Mathews in CRUSA competition.
Overton Dominates CRUSA Late Models
Cody Overton set the tone early and never looked back in the CRUSA Late Models (604) division. After pacing the field in hot laps and qualifying, Overton rolled off from the pole position and led all 15 laps en route to a commanding season-opening victory.
Kam Boyd followed closely to finish second, while Joshua Bishop charged forward from sixth to claim third and earn Hard Charger honors (+3 positions).

Jones Sweeps Street Stock Action
In CRUSA Street Stock competition, Jared Jones proved untouchable on opening night. Starting from the front row, Jones jumped out front early and led all 15 laps to secure the victory.
Dalton Kirby finished second, followed by Robert Fail in third. Dayton Sousa worked forward from eighth to sixth to earn the Hard Charger award (+2 positions).

The CRUSA Late Model Sportsman (602) division saw Landon Mathews put together a flawless performance. Starting on the pole, Mathews led every lap of the 15-lap feature to capture the opening night win.
Ken Ricks crossed the line second, while Kevin Anderson advanced from sixth to third, earning Hard Charger honors (+3 positions).
