Thrash and Martin Claims CRUSA Wins at Mitchell's Motorplex

(Eastaboga. AL - March 30, 2026) - Crate Racin’ USA sanctioned divisions returned to action Saturday night at Mitchell’s Motorplex, with a strong field of competitors on hand delivering an exciting night of racing across the Dirt Late Model and Street Stock divisions.

In the Rogers-Dabbs Performance Parts Crate Racin’ USA Dirt Late Model division, Nick Thrash proved to be the class of the field, turning in a dominant performance from the pole position. Thrash, who also earned fast time honors in qualifying with a lap of 16.160 seconds, led the field from green to checkered to secure the feature win.

Behind him, K I Davis charged forward from the fifth starting spot to finish second, while Ben Davis also made forward progress from sixth to round out the podium in third. Taylor Jarvis and Justin Mitchell completed the top five in a competitive 12-car field. Christopher Reid, who qualified second quickest, battled inside the top five early before slipping back to finish seventh at the checkered flag.

In Crate Racin’ USA Street Stock action, Calvin Martin delivered an impressive drive, working his way from the third starting position to claim the feature victory. Martin capitalized on track position early and held off a determined Jeremy Eaton, who finished second after winning his heat race earlier in the evening. Tyler Smith crossed the line in third, giving the division a tightly contested podium finish.

Austin Moye and Bryan Cox rounded out the top five, while David Knight and John Herron completed the finishing order in the eight-car field. Heat race wins went to Eaton and Smith, setting the stage for the feature event.
