Busby, Edwards, Kelly, and Ray Pick Up CRUSA Weekly Racing Wins at Pine Ridge
(Eastaboga, AL - May 18, 2026) – Another exciting night of Crate Racin’ USA weekly racing action unfolded Saturday night at Pine Ridge Speedway, as drivers across four CRUSA sanctioned divisions battled for victories in front of an enthusiastic crowd at the Baldwyn, Mississippi facility.
The CRUSA Dirt Late Models provided one of the best races of the night as Clent Busby charged from fourth starting position to claim the feature victory. Oakley Gillespie jumped to the early lead and paced the opening seven laps before Busby found a way around the leader on lap eight. Busby held off Gillespie through the closing laps to secure the win, while Robert Moore completed the podium in third. Blake Walker rallied from eighth to finish fourth, and Steve Russell rounded out the top five. Gillespie set fast time in qualifying with a lap of 15.754 seconds.
The CRUSA Late Model Sportsman division saw Allen Edwards make a late-race move to steal the victory from Covy Parsons. Parsons controlled the opening nine circuits before Edwards took command on lap ten and never looked back. Mark McCoy finished second, Parsons settled for third, and Chance Inman and Klay Cox completed the top five in the 13-car field.
Johnny Kelly dominated the CRUSA Street Stock feature, leading all 15 laps from the third starting position to pick up the victory. Bubba Vandygriff crossed the line second, while Lanny McCullough completed the podium in third after starting on the pole.
Justin Ray was untouchable in the CRUSA Modified Sportsman division, leading flag-to-flag to score the feature victory. Eli McKinney made an impressive drive from tenth to second, while Paul Robinson rounded out the podium in third.

Pine Ridge Speedway returns to action on Monday, May 25th as the USCS United Sprint Car Series invades the speedway for a Memorial Day Speedweek event alongside a full slate of CRUSA weekly divisions and local classes, if you can't make it to the track watch all the action live on Crate Racin' USA TV. The track will then host another weekly racing program on Saturday night, May 30th.
