Walton and Tuggle Score CRUSA Wins at Baton Rouge Raceway
(Baton Rouge, LA – April 5, 2026) – A festive night of racing and family fun at Baton Rouge Raceway, as fans packed the grandstands for Championship Weekly Points Night combined with a special Easter Egg Hunt on Friday night.
On the track, the action was just as exciting, with strong fields in both the CRUSA Dirt Late Models and CRUSA Street Stocks divisions kicking off the points chase in thrilling fashion.
Walton Drives to Victory in CRUSA Dirt Late Models
A stout field of 10 CRUSA Dirt Late Models took the green flag for the 16-lap feature, and it was Brady Walton who proved to be the class of the field.
Walton, piloting the familiar B2 machine, earned the pole position after a strong heat race performance and never looked back, leading wire-to-wire to capture the opening night victory. The Greenwell Springs, Louisiana driver held off challenges throughout the race to secure a solid start to his 2026 campaign.
Ben Davis delivered an impressive run to finish second after starting third, while Gunnar Duke advanced through the field to claim the third spot. Cody Karl and Darren Dean rounded out the Top 5.

In qualifying action, Travis Prevost set fast time, while Walton backed it up with a heat race win to set the tone for the feature event.
Tuggle Tops Street Stock Field
In CRUSA Street Stock competition, Cory Tuggle put together a flawless performance, sweeping the heat race and feature event en route to victory.
Starting from the pole in the 10-lap main event, Tuggle maintained control throughout the race to secure the win. Malachi Magee followed in second, with Carlos Williamson finishing third and Jeremy James Dubois rounding out the field.
