McElhenney, White, Sheedy and Price Score CRUSA Victories at Magnolia
(Columbus, MS – May 11, 2026) – A packed night of weekly racing action greeted fans at Magnolia Motor Speedway on Saturday night as four CRUSA-sanctioned divisions headlined an exciting evening at “The MAG.”
In the CRUSA Dirt Late Model division, Chris McElhenney put together a dominant performance against a stout 26-car field to capture the 20-lap feature victory. McElhenney set the tone early after qualifying fastest overall with a lap of 14.187 seconds and then led all 20 circuits of the feature from the pole position.
Jeremy Shaw charged from the eighth starting spot to finish second, while Jason Cliburn advanced from tenth to complete the podium in third. David Williamson and Josh Smith rounded out the Top-5 finishers. Several contenders ran into trouble throughout the feature, including Jason Henry, Chase Holland, Landon Cliburn, Morgen Lambert, Chase Dewberry, and Nick Thrash.

The CRUSA Late Model Sportsman division brought 22 entries to the speedway, and Brett White drove to the feature victory after starting from the pole position. White held off a hard-charging Andy Pippin, who advanced from eleventh to second at the finish. Chace Pennington crossed the stripe in third ahead of Covy Parsons and Colby Ponds.
Allen Edwards topped qualifying with a quick lap of 15.382 seconds, while heat race victories went to White, Parsons, and Jeremy Robertson. Attrition became a factor in the feature event with several drivers sidelined before the finish.

Shelby Sheedy was untouchable in the CRUSA Street Stock division, leading all 15 laps from the pole position to score the feature win over Brandon Hill and Jamey Boland. Shay Knight and Rodney Wing completed the Top-5 finishers in the 13-car field. Sheedy also claimed a heat race victory earlier in the evening, while Boland captured the second preliminary race.

In CRUSA Modified Sportsman competition, Parker Price took command on lap two and never looked back en route to the feature victory. Brooke Tedford paced the opening lap before Price moved into the top spot and led the remaining circuits. Parker Thompson finished second with Dees Price charging to third. Brooke Tedford and Jason Markewitz rounded out the Top-5.
Heat race wins in the Modified Sportsman division went to Parker Price and Brooke Tedford.

Magnolia Motor Speedway will return to action May 22-24 with the highly anticipated 602 World Championship weekend featuring the Rogers-Dabbs Performance Parts Crate Racin’ USA Late Model Sportsman Tour competing for a $5,000 top prize. The weekend schedule includes an open practice on Thursday, May 22, preliminary action on Friday, May 23, and championship night on Saturday, May 24.
