Mitchell & Gipson Go Flag-to-Flag at North Alabama
(Tuscumbia, AL – May 4, 2026) – The United Sprint Car Series rolled into North Alabama Speedway on Friday night, bringing high-speed excitement to the Tuscumbia oval, while the Crate Racin’ USA Weekly divisions added to the action-packed program.
In CRUSA Late Model Sportsman competition, Bryson Mitchell put together a perfect night. After setting fast time in qualifying with a lap of 15.214 seconds, Mitchell led all 15 laps of the feature from the pole to secure the victory. Will Hanger followed him across the line in second, with Gary Tucker completing the podium in third. Keaton Baker and Nick Morris rounded out the top five in the eight-car field.

The CRUSA Modified Sportsman division saw another dominant performance, this time by Chuck Gipson. Starting from the pole, Gipson led every lap of the 15-lap main event to claim the victory.
Bradly Qualls finished second after winning his heat race earlier in the night, while Blake Henn charged to a third-place finish. Darren Jewell and Micah Dalrymple completed the top five in a competitive 10-car field.
